EDWARDS -- An Edwards woman and an Antwerp man who are dating are facing charges in the the burglary of a friend's residence where numerous items were stolen, according to state police Troop B Public Information Officer Kyle Otis.
Gayle M. Wiley, 42, is charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, second-degree forgery and first-degree criminal contempt, all felonies.
Her boyfriend, Floyd R. Cousino, 55, of Antwerp is charged with third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
On Sept. 26, Wylie burglarized a friend's house and garage on state Route 58 in Edwards, Otis said. She allegedly took a television, a chain saw, a wallet, personal checks, and cups of change, according to Otis.
Cousino allegedly endorsed and cashed one of the stolen checks at Community Bank. He was caught and gave up Wylie to investigators, according to state police.
Wylie was arraigned in Fowler Town Court by Justice Paul Lamson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton in lieu of $10,000 bail, troopers said.
Cousino was released with an appearance ticket for Gouverneur Village Court on Oct. 14, Otis said.
