St. Lawrence University freshman Gordon White was named Liberty League men's outdoor track Rookie of the Year in voting by the league's coaches.
White, the Liberty League champion in the long jump, qualified for the final in the 100 meters at the league championship meet. His Liberty League winning long jump of 7.05 meters was the 35th best in the nation this season. He earned Liberty League Rookie of the Week twice during the course of the Liberty League indoor and outdoor seasons.
He is the first Saint to win league Rookie of the Year honors since Spencer Patterson in the 2012-13 indoor season.
