(Canton, N.Y.)- Senior forward Shannon Lafave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) posted two double-doubles in three games last week and was chosen as the Sunrise Conference co-Player of the Week for the second straight week.

LaFave led the Roos to two wins in three games during their grueling three-game swing through northern Maine averaging 18.7 points and 9.3 rebounds while shooting 61 percent from the field and 73 percent from the free throw line. LaFave started the trip with 24 points and 13 boards in the Roos’ 77-71 overtime win over the University of Maine at Machias. The next day she dropped in 16 points and pulled down four rebounds in a 64-58 win over the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She ended the weekend with her third double-double in the last four games posting 16 points and 11 rebounds against the University of Maine at Fort Kent.

LaFave is currently tied for first in the conference in double-doubles with four and is second in scoring (15.5) and shooting (.450), third in free throw shooting (.720) and fifth in rebounding (7.5).
