To the Editor:
TAUNY wishes to extend a sincere thanks to the nearly 200 donors who responded to its recently concluded spring fundraising appeal.
Now in its 30th year, the Canton-based nonprofit provides public programming to increase appreciation for the folk culture and living traditions of the North Country.
According to TAUNY Director of Development Laura Desmond, the spring appeal raised almost $40,000. “We are deeply gratified to see so much community support for TAUNY’s public programs. There is tremendous generosity and community spirit here in the North Country.
A big thanks to everyone who participated: each and every donation, small or large, made a difference!”
Desmond also notes that even though the spring appeal is over, it’s never too late to make a charitable contribution to TAUNY.
Donations can be sent to TAUNY at 53 Main St., Canton, NY 13617 or made online at tauny.org.
