To The Editor:

Helping Hands of Potsdam is seeking sponsors for the 2014 Cindy Talcott Memorial Golf Tournament slated for July 19, 2014 at the Potsdam Town and Country Club. This tournament is the premier fundraising activity for Helping Hands, and its success serves as a springboard for other grant opportunities.

The Tournament committee consisting of myself, Claire LaGarry, Joyce Lalonde, Bill Ford, Lorraine Ford, Mary Jo James, Laura Stevenson, and Suzanne Smith recently mailed letters to approximately 300 area businesses and individuals encouraging their sponsorship support. We are heartened to report that we’ve heard from several already – but there’s still a lot of work to be done!

We would be thrilled to hear from anyone in the community who has not received a sponsorship form and wishes to be involved. Individuals may contact me for more information at spdemarest@gmail.com.

Helping Hands of Potsdam is a registered 501(C) (3) charity that provides assistance to those in need in the following eastern St. Lawrence County communities: Brasher, Colton, Hopkinton, Lawrence, Madrid, Nicholville, Norfolk, Norwood, Pierrepont, Potsdam, Stockholm and South Colton. All gifts are tax deductible.
