BRASHER FALLS -- The Tri-town area has recently been introduced to the “One Book One Town” project. The St. Lawrence Middle School has been reading the book “Wonder.”
The community has been encouraged to read the book along with the students and their families.
In addition, the “30 Days of Wonder” calendar is full of Choose Kindness activities that students, their families, and the community members have been taking part in.
To celebrate the whole month that was dedicated to the “30 days of Wonder” there will be a community spaghetti dinner at the Knights of Columbus from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 1 at $8 for adults and $6 for children.
There will be a “Quotes for Kindness” auction. The students will be putting quotes they chose themselves on wooden boards.
Organizers say there are many books still available at the Badenhausen Library in Brasher Falls.
They are free thanks to a NYSUT grant to the school.
