AKWESASNE – The season long battle at Mohawk International Raceway will all come to a head Friday at the final points race for all divisions.

The even also features the “Chevy Runs Deep” 358 Modified Series and the “Go Further” Sportsman Series.

The 2013 Track championship battles are intense in all of our weekly divisions. Billy Dunn holds just a 19 point lead over Chris Raabe in the chase for the coveted 358 Modified track championship.

Dunn also leads the way in the Frenchie’s series, but with just 24 points separating the top six drivers in the series standings, anything can happen.

The Sportsman division has a fierce battle brewing as well, with two time defending track champion Dylan Evoy sitting in second place behind Corey Wheeler by 19 points as well.

The battle is also close in the Frenchie’s Sportsman series championship race, with only 13 points separating the top six.

Stephane Lebrun holds a slim seven-point advantage over Rock Aubin in the race for the Pro Stock championship, while Joel Hargrave carries a 12-point advantage over defending Mod Lite champion Mathieu Robinson. Jean Marc Larose just has to start Friday night’s event, and will be declared 2013 Bandit division champion.

Pit Gates and Spectator area will open at 4 p.m. Please note that the heat race action will get underway at 7 p.m. on Friday night. Pit Admission is $30 with DIRTcar License and $35 without. Grandstand Admission is only $20 with children 12 and under admitted for just $5.

Mohawk International Raceway will be closed the following weekend, and will resume action with the Twin Leaf Mohawk Nationals on Friday, Sept. 13 and Saturday, Sept. 14. Friday night’s contest will consist of the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series as well as the DIRTcar Pro Stocks and the Go Nuclear Late Model Series. Saturday’s Program will feature the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series along with the DIRTcar Sportsman Series and the Go Nuclear Late Models.

Mohawk International Raceway is located in Akwesasne, NY, midway between the Seaway International Bridge to Cornwall, ONT and the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino.
