POTSDAM – The sixth annual Cindy Talcott Memorial Golf Tournament to benefit Helping Hands is set for Saturday, July 21 at the Potsdam Town and Country Club.

The tournament is named for Helping Hands founder Cindy Talcott.

The tournament gets under way at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. The captain-and-crew format will have foursomes – all female, all male, or mixed -- out on the course.

The entry fee is an all-inclusive $65 per person.

Applications are available at most area golf courses or may be obtained from Helping Hands, PO Box 92, Hannawa Falls, NY, 13647, 268-0633.

Every year Helping Hands spends over $3,000 dollars to keep 30 families who depend on heating oil, propane and kerosene warm and fed.

In addition they also provide financial assistance with medical, dental and prescription costs, assistance with car parts and repairs to enable working people to keep working, and cars to working families through their Car Share Program. Cars are repaired and inspected by SUNY Canton.
