CANTON— An Ogdensburg man who allegedly attempted to bring a weapon, alcohol, and drugs into St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility was arrested Sunday, April 20.
Trent N. Menard, 25, of Ogdensburg, was charged April 20 with three counts first-degree promoting prison contraband (D felony), one count seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (A misdemeanor), and one count third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (D felony), according to a press release from the County Sheriff’s Office.
A press release from the Sheriff’s Office states that Menard was charged after he allegedly attempted to bring alcohol, a “deadly instrument,” and buprenorphine, also known as Suboxone, into St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on Saturday, April 19.
Menard was arraigned in Hermon Town Court and was remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.
