OSWEGATCHIE – Two Ogdensburg women face drug charges following a traffic stop on Irish Settlement Road Thursday evening, according to state police.
Troopers reportedly conducted a traffic stop shortly before 8 p.m. on a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado for an inadequate brake light.
Following investigation, troopers charged 37-year old Whitney D. Regan with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, improper signal and inadequate brake light, officers said.
She was allegedly in possession of cocaine and heroin.
A passenger in the vehicle, Kaitlyn A. Robinson, 33 was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony, five counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and controlled substance in a non-original container, officers said.
She was allegedly in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine and heroin, as well as a bag of pills.
Robinson was arraigned in city court and remanded to St. Lawrence County jail without bail.
The arrest status for Regan was not immediately available.
