Two members of the New York Army National Guard from Chase Mills and Canton have been promoted.
Andrew Favreau, of Chase Mills, and assigned to the Company C, NY Recruiting & Retention Battalion, received a promotion Dece. 10 to the rank of private.
Justin Estep, of Canton, and assigned to the Company B, 427th Brigade Support Battalion, received a promotion Dec. 5 to the rank of sergeant.
Army National Guard promotions are based on a Soldier's overall performance, demonstrated leadership abilities, professionalism and future development potential.
