Turkey time in Potsdam

Leah Bill, Lucy Bill, and Maggie Kennedy celebrated  the spirit of Thanksgiving, posing with an inflatable turkey during the 27th Annual Hobble Gobble Prediction Walk/Run earlier this month.

Approximately $9,000 was raised for local charities at the event which began and ended at The Stables at Windy Point, Sissonville Road, Potsdam.

A total of 230 people were registered for the walk/run.

Proceeds will benefit the Potsdam Holiday Fund, Helping Hands of Hannawa, Heuvelton Giving Tree, and local Neighborhood Centers, said organizer Jacqueline Bill.

The winners of the best predicted course times vs. actual times in the short course were Matt Smithers, Jenny Bradish, John Beaudette, Coreen Bohl, James Deon, Alice Trithart, Natasha Hill, Jenifer Backus and Jason Phippen.

Winners of the best predicted times for the long course were  Alena Bicknell, Amy Hollister, Erin Taylor and Kim Potvin.
