WADDINGTON— A Potsdam man was arrested after he was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine following a protective order violation Saturday, according to an April 19 press release from the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

Scott M. Ramsay, 32, of Waddington, was charged Saturday, April 19 with two counts second-degree criminal contempt and one count seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.

A representative from the Sheriff’s Office reported that Ramsay was charged following investigation of an alleged protective order violation in the town of Waddington. Ramsay is alleged to have contacted the protected party in that matter on two separate occasions, and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine when contacted by authorities.

Ramsay was arraigned in Lisbon Town Court and was remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail.
