A winter storm is set to bring significant snowfall to parts of St. Lawrence County, with total snow accumulations expected to range between 3 and 6 inches, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
National Weather Service issued a weather advisory for southeastern St. Lawrence County with snow expected to begin early this afternoon and will continue until 7 a.m. Tuesday.
The snow is likely to create hazardous conditions on roads, especially on bridges and overpasses, which could become slick and difficult to navigate, NWS says. Drivers are urged to plan for slippery roads and allow extra time for travel. These conditions are expected to affect Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes across the region.
Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution while driving during the storm. For up-to-date road conditions in Vermont, travelers can visit 511NY.
