A parade in Winthrop Saturday morning, Feb. 15, was a highlight of the 2025 Tri-Town Winter Carnival.
The floats had many familiar characters, including Donald Duck, Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel, Star Wars, 101 Dalmatians and Toy Story.
Dozens of other events were held Friday and Saturday in the Tri-Town region, including a craft fair and family activities, Snowmobile Poker Run and tournaments.
However, the snowstorm cancelled some of the remaining weekend activities, including the fireworks, rescheduled before St. Patrick's Day weekend, March 15. The rescheduling of the North Lawrence and Lawrenceville Fire Department's events are being discussed.
