Sheila Mae Perry, 75, Morristown

MORRISTOWN -- Sheila Mae Perry, age 75, of Morristown, New York passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024.

No funeral services will be held per her request. The burial will be at Brier Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Frary Funeral Home in Ogdensburg. NY.

Sheila Mae Perry was born in Carthage, NY on December 28, 1948, to Robert Carlton Simmons and Constance Ann Lozo. She graduated from Morristown Central School in 1966 and continued on to receive a Nursing degree from Hepburn Hospital in 1969.

Sheila was married to Lawrence (Larry) Dalton Perry on April 9, 1977; they were married for 22 years. They had two children, Nicole A. Tomassini of Ogdensburg, NY and Gregory D. Perry of Ogdensburg, NY and raised Jennifer L. Perry of Lantana, Fl. and Debra J. Perry of Denver, Colorado as her own.

Sheila worked as a Nurse in the operating room at Hepburn Hospital with Sister Jerome. She also worked at the Gran View restaurant as a pastry chef. She enjoyed Pontoon boating fishing, gardening, canning, photography, crocheting, reading and computer activities. She was also active in donating to charities and organizations such as St. Jude's Children Hospital, Amvets, and the SPCA.

Sheila is survived by her brother, Ronald K. Simmons; her children, Jennifer L. Perry, Debra J. Perry, and Nicole A. Tomassini; her granddaughters, Kylie A. Tomassini and Rhea H. Baldwin; her grandson, Dalton L. Baldwin; several nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

Sheila is predeceased by ex-husband and dear friend, Larry D. Perry; her son, Gregory D. Perry; her mother, Constance A. Simmons; her father, Robert C. Simmons, brothers, Robert D. Simmons, Jeffrey L. Simmons, and Lanny D. Simmons; and sister, Kelly D. Simmons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Morristown Fire Dept. The family of Sheila Mae Perry wishes to thank Don Skelly, whom she thought of as a son, and her caregiver Karen Peck.
