GOUVERNEUR -- County Council of Senior Citizens and the St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging will be sponsoring the Annual Senior Picnic on Thursday, Aug. 15.
The picnic will be held at the Gouverneur Community Center and Nutrition Center located at 4673 NY 58.
Registration starts at 8:45 a.m. Free bingo starts at 9:15 a.m. Bring your own daubers. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.
On the menu: hamburgers & hot dogs, pasta salad, broccoli salad, cubed watermelon and a homemade brownie.
There is a suggested lunch contribution of $3 for seniors age 60 and over; the guest fee is $10 for anyone under 60.
Lunch tickets must be reserved in advance by calling the office at (315) 386-4730 or calling a senior club president.
The deadline for lunch reservations is Aug. 6.
No lunch tickets or takeout meals will be available at the door.
The band Microburst will provide musical entertainment in the outdoor pavilion at 12:15 p.m.
