Seeking Fairy Godmothers and Fairy Godfathers

Are you feeling overwhelmed with all that is going on in our world today? Looking for a way to bring some joy into your life? We may have the answer for you. The Community Lunch Program for Kids (CLPK) is looking for people who would be interested in being a fairy godmother or godfather to a local child living in poverty. You can help make dreams come true by “earning your wings” and helping make the first day back to school “magical” by purchasing socks, sneakers, underwear and a backpack for a local child.

If parents struggle to provide food for their children over summer vacation, where are they supposed to find the extra money to purchase these basics for the beginning of a new school year for their children?

You can earn your wings in one of two ways:

1) You can contact Wendy at 315.212.0520 or wchambers384@gmail.com and agree to sponsor a local child. We will then send you a tag with the child’s age, and sizes and you will do the shopping. On August 22nd, you will bring the items you purchased to Fairy Godmother/ Godfather Reception and receive your authentic Fairy Godmother/ Godfather Certificate, as well as a complimentary wand, and some very rare fairy dust. We will celebrate your accomplishment with cake and punch.

2) You can make a donation to our project by sending a check made out to The CLPK (Fairy Godmother Project on memo line). Any donation will get you a fairy godmother/fairy godfather certificate and complimentary wand (and this will look great on your resume)

If you are interested in donating the cost of preparing one child for school, we estimate the cost to be about $55 for an elementary student and $75- $100 for a middle or high school student.)

Checks can be made out to CLPK (FGMP on memo line) and mailed to P.O. Box 225, Norwood, New York 13668.

With all that is going on in the world today, isn’t it time to bring back some Disney Magic?

If you decide to help support The Fairy Godmother Project, I promise you will be flying high with those new wings before you know it.

We appreciate your kindness and generosity.
