LISBON - Roland F. Geary, age 88, of Lisbon, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Fox & Murray Funeral Home, with Rev. Walter Smith officiating.
Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 12:00–2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at White Church Cemetery in Lisbon.
Born on February 20, 1937, in Ogdensburg to the late Floyd and Winnie (Perkins) Geary, Roland graduated from Lisbon High School and pursued adult education at BOCES. He married Patricia Green on November 23, 1966, at the Lisbon Presbyterian Church. Roland retired in 2003 after working in various roles, including at Carl Hobkirk Auto, Ray Geary Chevrolet, Trimm’s Auto, Canton ATC, and the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center.
He was a former trustee of the First Congregational Church in Lisbon and enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including NASCAR, traveling, golfing, bowling (as a league member), and gardening.
He is survived by his daughter Dawn Geary and her companion Leonard Putney, stepchildren Nancy McCullough and her companion Tom Monteith, James Dow & his wife Sharon, and step-grandchildren Jodi Falardeau and fiancée BJ Stevens and Jeffery Falardeau.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Pat Geary, a brother David Geary, and step-sons Timothy Dow and Michael Kelley.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Lisbon or the Lisbon Presbyterian Church.
