CANTON — SUNY Canton will host a variety of fun, educational summer day camps designed for students in a range of grade levels and areas of interest.
Each camp runs for a one-week period (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.). All campers must bring a water bottle, nut-free lunch and snack each day; however, the college is offering a fee-based daily bagged lunch, drink and snack that can be purchased during the registration process.
Cost is $250 per week with discounts available for multiple camps and/or multiple campers. The STEM and RC Car/Aero STEM camps are at a reduced rate of $50 per student through a partnership with Adirondack North Country Association and a NYSERDA grant. Multiple discounts are not available for those camps.

The summer day camp schedule for 1st to 5th graders is:
Campers will have fun exploring the human body, plants, animals, mixed media, geocaching and DNA. They will engage in the process of science through hands-on experiments, projects and exploration.
Campers will engage in hands-on activities to learn the basics of coding while exploring technology. Each day will be a new challenge to foster an interest in valuable tech skills.
The show must go on! A week of music theater exploration lets campers tap into their creative side.
Campers will have fun exploring the world of aeronautics, rocketry and more. They will engage in hands-on activities such as assembling foam gliders, rubber-band powered airplanes, model rockets and catapults.
Campers will engage in hands-on activities to get creative. Projects will incorporate drawing, painting, collaging and more.
Campers will engage in hands-on activities and educational enrichment to practice fine motor skills, teamwork and creativity. Each day will be a new adventure exploring art, music, science and more.
The summer day camp schedule for 6th to 9th graders is:
Campers will explore the wonderful world of the remote-control (RC) hobby and aeronautical engineering.
The sky's the limit for this week of high-flying drone exploration where campers will learn the basics of how to operate, fly and maintain drones.
Campers will engage in hands-on activities to learn the basics of coding while exploring technology. Each day will be a new challenge to foster an interest in valuable tech skills.
Campers will level up by using digital art tools to bring their video game ideas to life.
Campers will have fun exploring the human body, plants, animals, mixed media, geocaching and DNA. They will engage in the process of science through hands-on experiments, projects and exploration.
Campers will engage in hands-on activities to learn about basic first aid, CPR, along with participating in interactive scenarios.
