Rally held in Canton to protest inauguration

Posted

A dozen hardy protestors rallied on Main Street. Canton, on Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, with frigid temperatures in the teens. They held signs saying ‘Workers should have power, not billionaires’ and ‘The People will defeat Trump’s extreme right agenda!.’ A half dozen state troopers and sheriff deputies were also present around the Village Park. In a letter to the editor, organizer McKay Burley said, they were protesting “along with folks in D.C. and cities across the country in a nationwide mobilization opposing Trump’s ultra-right, billionaire agenda.” To view letter to the editor, view here.
