POTSDAM —  Precision Auto is up and running in Potsdam.

Nathan Plumadore and James Barney bring decades of experience to the table and say they plan to focus on good customer relationships.

Located west of the village of Potsdam at 7297 U.S. Highway 11, Precision Auto is a full-service automotive garage, working on all makes and models of cars and trucks.

The shop opened its doors in February after owners Plumadore and Barney had talked about opening their own shop for years. 

“We just finally decided that we wanted to make a dream into a reality,” Plumadore said, adding that he and Barney were inspired to open a shop of their own to ensure customers are treated to their own high standards. 

Plumadore and Barney have a combined 45 years of experience in the auto industry. Currently they are the only two working at Precision Auto, but Plumadore said that the staff could grow as the business does. 

Precision Auto offers tune-ups, tire service, suspension work, engine diagnostics, oil changes, filter replacements, exhaust repairs, and brake service.

“We build good relationships with our customers,” Plumadore said.

Plumadore said the business prides itself on being an honest repair facility, and said “we love being able to help.”  

“We have even started a Customer Loyalty Program that allows customers to get services in return free of charge based on a point system,” Plumadore said. 

He said the reward program is “just a way for us to give back to our loyal customers.”

 Precision Auto’s hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 pm.
