POTSDAM — Constantine Darie, a graduating senior jointly enrolled at Potsdam High School and The Clarkson School, has been awarded the Cristin Ann Bambino Memorial Scholarship as the $4,000 runner-up. This is a competitive statewide honor presented by the New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal (NYSIR). The scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated perseverance, leadership, and academic achievement despite personal challenges.
Constantine is an accomplished young composer who will attend SUNY Fredonia this fall as a music composition major in the honors program.
In addition to his creative work, Constantine is a co-founder of Melodic Minds, a music education initiative that offers lessons and mentorship to neurodivergent students. The program is supported by local arts funding and community partnerships, reflecting his deep commitment to inclusivity in the arts.
The Bambino Scholarship highlights students who not only succeed academically, but who serve as role models and contribute meaningfully to their schools and communities.
