To the Editor:

In this 2025 Lenten Season, the forty plus days leading up to the defining events of Christianity, I would like to acknowledge Fertilized Ovum Jesus Day on March 25th. Formally known as The Annunciation, the Roman Catholic Empire created the date to occur exactly nine months prior to the date they created for Born Baby Jesus Day, known as Christmas.
Christmas Day 2024 was the day that supporters of Donald Trump might recall is when our now President used the occasion to tell 37 human beings to “GO TO HELL!” because he was deprived of the opportunity to have them legally murdered by his government.
The defining events of Christianity are the arrest, sham trial, torture, and legal murder of Jesus by the government at the behest of an angry mob, culminating in His resurrection from the dead. The Feast of the Resurrection is celebrated using God’s Time. On the planet we call Earth, it occurs on the first so-called Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox.

Weirdly enough, this springtime festival is popularly known as Easter, named for a pagan fertility goddess. We hear no whining from the fake “war on Christmas” people about this situation. The reality that Christmas Day is the made up day that usurped pagan winter solstice festivals to become “the reason” for the date is utterly lost to fake Christians that think Donald Trump is anything but the antithesis of Jesus’ Message to humanity about how we treat one another being the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.
By their fruits will you know them, says Jesus, not so much divine knowledge as basic critical thinking skills. Good trees bear good fruit. Bad trees bear likewise. Former atheist, now self-described “cultural Christian”, and acting director of performative cruelty for Trump’s Department of Government Entertainment, Elon Musk tells us that Catholic Relief Services is a fraud. Glittery chainsaw of evidence in hand, fake Christians believe human beings will not actually starve to death as a result of the withholding of food from impoverished people that rely on it.
The Name Of God Is Mercy is the title to the first book of Pope Francis’ papacy. Self-described “baby Catholic” J.D. Vance proposes nonsensical theological gibberish to support his soul-selling to the merciless and cruel rampage of Trump’s indiscriminate tyrannical orders.
The entire chapter 23 of Matthew is about hypocrites. Here we are.
