POTSDAM— Cory R. Markidis, 36, of Potsdam, was issued a uniform traffic ticket May 22 for speed in zone, Potsdam Police say.

Village police report that Markidis was ticketed after patrols observed him driving on Sandstone Drive at an alleged high rate of speed, with radar reportedly measuring his speed at 63 mph in the 30 mph zone.

Ticket is returnable to Potsdam Town Court June 4.

Owen M. Houle, 27, of Potsdam, was issued a uniform traffic ticket May 22 for failure to stop at a stop sign, Potsdam Police say.

Village police report that Houle was charged following investigation of a two-car motor vehicle accident on Sandstone Drive. Houle was reportedly found to be at fault for the accident due to allegedly failing to stop for a stop sign.

Ticket is returnable to Potsdam Town Court June 11.
