POTSDAM— Robert J. McNamara, 30, of Potsdam, was issued uniform traffic tickets June 17 for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, uninspected motor vehicle, unlicensed operator and two counts unsafe tires, village police say. 

Potsdam Police report that McNamara was charged following investigation of a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Ticket is returnable to Potsdam Town Court July 16.

Jacob M. Bentz, 35, of Potsdam, was issued a uniform traffic ticket June 17 for speed in zone, Potsdam Police say. 

Village police report that Bentz was charged after patrols observed him driving on Sandstone Drive at an alleged high rate of speed, reportedly measured at 57 mph in the 30 mph zone. 

Ticket is returnable to Potsdam Town Court July 9.
