POTSDAM – Potsdam Music Friends, the booster club for the Potsdam Central School District, recently awarded several music scholarships. These scholarships aim to recognize and support the outstanding musical talents and dedication of students within the district.
The College Award, given based on an essay submission, was awarded to Julia VanWagner, Lillian Dow, Emma Hubbard, Viola Partridge, and Talia Mohideen.
The Frick Harmony Award was bestowed upon Seamus Hudson for his exceptional contributions to musical harmony and collaboration.
The Thorn Wolf-Kedar Award was awarded to Annika Mackey for her excellence in musical performance and leadership.
The Summer Camp Award, also based on an essay submission, was granted to Constantine Darie, Sarvesh Sitaraman and Sophia LeRoux.
The Middle School Award recipients, recognized for their promising musical talents, were Megan Sullivan-Catlin and Sarvesh Sitaraman.
"We are thrilled to support these talented students in their musical journeys," said Alisa Woods, of Potsdam Music Friends. "Their dedication and passion for music are truly inspiring, and we look forward to seeing their continued growth and achievements."
Potsdam Music Friends continues to be a strong advocate for music education and opportunities within the Potsdam Central School District, ensuring that young musicians receive the recognition and support they deserve.
