Potsdam Chamber thanks cleanup day helpers

We are incredibly fortunate to be part of a community that takes such pride in its public spaces. The recent Community Cleanup Day was a shining example of what can be accomplished when individuals, families, organizations, and businesses come together with a shared goal—to make Potsdam a cleaner, more welcoming place for all.

The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce extends its deepest gratitude to the more than 150 volunteers who participated in this year’s event. From the new faces we had the pleasure of meeting, to the dedicated residents like long time leaf picker upper Ed Sachs, the Rotary Club of Potsdam, student volunteers and baseball teams from Potsdam High School, the SUNY Potsdam Psychology Club, four Clarkson University athletic teams, members of Sigma Alpha iota, and numerous local businesses—your enthusiasm and commitment made this effort a true success.

We also want to sincerely thank the local businesses that helped fuel our volunteers with generous donations of refreshments: Park Bros Coffee, Save A Lot, Stewart’s Shops, and Kinney Drugs—your support helped keep spirits high and energy strong throughout the day.

To every person who gave their time and effort: thank you. Your participation reminds us all of the power of community and the importance of taking care of the place we call home.
