OGDENSBURG – The Saint Lawrence Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics New York will be returning to Northern New York after a five-year absence on Saturday, Dec. 7. Attendees from across Northern New York will gather at Lisbon Beach, 9975 State Highway 37, to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics New York athletes in the North Country Region.
The Polar Plunge, with the slogan “Freezin for a Reason”, is one of the most popular, profitable, and exciting fundraisers for Special Olympics New York. Participants raise money by asking friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances for donations.
Registration is 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Plunge at 12 p.m.
The 2019 Saint Lawrence Polar Plunge had 117 participants and raised over $10,000 for the athletes of Special Olympics New York. Register online today at polarplungeny.org to be a part of this year’s event.
