Paul Patrick Cameron, 41, Louisville

LOUISVILLE – Paul Patrick Cameron, 41, tragically passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 from injuries he sustained following an accident.

Paul was born in Massena on October 20, 1983, the son of Susan (Scott) Cameron and the late Richard J. Cameron. He first attended Louisville Elementary School before attending and graduating from Massena High School. He continued his education at Canton ATC.

Paul was a self-employed handyman and jack of all trades. He greatly enjoyed tinkering, and engineering and building things, hiking, and riding his bicycle. Paul was also a very talented artist, enjoyed watching movies, and was an excellent pizza chef – especially perfecting a breakfast pizza. As a young man, he was active with the Louisville Minor Hockey.

Paul is survived by his mother and stepfather, Susan and Philip Sawyer of Brasher; his siblings, Jessica M. Cameron and her husband, John Norton-Jensen of East Tawas, Michigan and their children, Jack, Wyle, and Garrett; Benjamin Cameron and his wife, Jane of Brentwood, California and their children, Nika and Noah; Jennifer Gibson and her husband Leo of Hogansburg and their children, Emma, Ethan, and Ella; Eric Sawyer and his companion, Amy of Black River, New York and their children, Khloe, Maria, and AJ; and Robert Sawyer and his wife, Michele of Iowa and their children, Daniel, Michaela, Maddie, and Keegan; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Paul was predeceased by his father, Richard J. Cameron on April 3, 2023.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 5, 2025 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. His family will greet friends prior to the mass beginning at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in his memory to Louisville Recreation, 14810 State Highway 37, Massena, NY 13662 for the creation of the bicycle awareness and safety program in Paul’s honor.
