ONNY elects new officers and welcomes new board members

At the April annual meeting of the Orchestra of Northern New York, officers for the 2024-2026 term were elected, the organization reports in its newsletter.

Accepting leadership positions are: President Kevin A. Angstadt (Madrid), Assistant Professor of Computer Science at St. Lawrence University; Vice President Susan J. Bellor (Massena), Massena Town Supervisor; Treasurer John J. Gray, Jr. ( Colton), managing partner in Gray & Gray and Associates, CPA; and Secretary Carol C. Lowe (Parishville), Professor of Bassoon, Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam.

New Board directors include: Carol “Kickie” Britt (Hannawa Falls), retired Music Business Program Director at SUNY Potsdam; Julianne Kirk-Doyle (Potsdam), Professor of Clarinet, Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam; Ed Fay (Massena), retired SUNY Canton Dean; and Carl “Ben” Strange, Jr. (Watertown), Latin teacher at Indian River Central School.

Rounding out the Board are Directors: Jane “Wink” Beadel (Wellesley Island), volunteer extraordinaire; Kimberly Busch (Hannawa Falls), music teacher at Canton Central School; Nikki Coates (Norwood), real estate broker and owner of Nikki Coates & Associates, Charles V. Guy (Colton), Professor of Tuba, Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam; J. Thomas McCarty (Nicholville), Chief Financial Officer at NuMED; Mark Prasuhn (Sackets Harbor), General Manager of WPBS-TV; Dede Scozzafava (Gouverneur), retired state legislator and Commissioner, NYS Tax Tribunal; Tracey Thompson (Colton), Vice President for Advancement at SUNY Canton; and Brooks Washburn (Potsdam), owner of Brooks Washburn Architecture, AIA.
