Ogdensburg Police arrest two, seize firearms following threat of shooting on March 14

OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg Police have arrested two city residents on multiple felonies after receiving a call that a male subject was threatening to shoot a woman at Oak Street.
According to police, members of OPD surrounded the residence after receiving the complaint around 12:10 p.m. on March 14.
After a brief standoff, all residents exited the property, police say.
Police charged Elliot D. Roberts, 22, with aggravated family offense, criminal contempt 1st, unlawful imprisonment 2nd and coercion 3rd.

He was arraigned in City of OGdensburg Court by Judge Lemay and remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
Six days later, Ogdensburg Police executed a search warrant at the residence, which was prompted from the ongoing investigation.
At the conclusion of the search warrant, police say they recovered two shotguns, as well as an AK style rifle that were located in the residence.
Police say they then arrested Penny Arquitt, 52, on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon third-degree.
She was arraigned in City of Ogdensburg Court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
Police also arrested Melissa R. Gordon, 52, on two Morriston Court bench warrants and one St. Lawrence County bench warrant.
Ogdensburg Police say Gordon was subsequently turned over to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.
The investigation is ongoing with more arrests expected to follow.
