BRASHER FALLS — An Ogdensburg resident was charged with assault stemming from an alleged domestic dispute Nov.1, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Alford L. Lawton, 22, was charged with third-degree assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child stemming from an incident on State Highway 11C, officers said.
Deputies said Lawton struck the victim in the head and caused physical injury, while children were present in the house.
Lawton was arraigned by Judge Grubee in Norfolk court and released on his own recognizance, officers said.
An order of protection was issued in favor of the victim, deputies said.
LOUISVILLE — A Louisville resident was charged following an alleged domestic dispute on CR 43, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Arlo K. Christmas, 34, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing after allegedly grabbing the victim by the throat during an alleged domestic incident, officers said.
Christmas was arraigned in Massena court and released on his own recognizance, officers said.
An order of protection was issued in favor of the victim, deputies said.
