OGDENSBURG – The Ogdensburg Community office of the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce has recognized a seventh grader at Ogdensburg Free Academy as the December Student of the Month.
Neveah Saunders was nominated for Student of the Month by Susie Beach, her math teacher who had this to say about her.
“Neveah is a student in my accelerated math class this year. The beginning of the year was a bit challenging for her, but she persevered and has definitely turned things around. Neveah comes to class prepared, gets her work done on time and asks for help when she needs it. She always has a smile on her face and helps the students around her be successful. I enjoy having Neveah in class and I am excited to see her grow as a math student this year,” said Beach.
Neveah is involved in basketball, chorus, and Jr. Band. Outside of school, she is heavily involved in the Boys and Girls Club. Her devotion to school and helping others makes her an excellent candidate for Student of the Month. Her career aspiration is to become a basketball player in the Women’s National Basketball Association.
Neveah received a Certificate of Achievement from OFA and a plaque from the Ogdensburg Community office of the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce.
The Student of the Month Program is sponsored by the Ogdensburg Community Office of the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce.
