NORWOOD —Norwood Beach is now taking registrations for our Swim Lesson
Programs. Swim Lessons will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., July 8 through July 31.
Parent-Tot lessons for toddlers ages 6 months to 3 years old are being offered, with an adult to accompany participants in the water.
The Learn-To-Swim Program is for children aged 4-15 years old. These are group lessons arranged by both age and ability.
Adult Learn-To-Swim are fit for anyone age 16+.
New this year, lessons will be offered for special needs individuals on a one-on-one basis.
To register for any of these programs stop by the concession stand to talk with the lifeguards, or call 315-353-9965.
The kayak and paddleboard rental program is up and running. Kayaks are available for rent for $5/2 hours and paddleboards for $5/1 hour. Boats can be reserved in advance by calling 315-353-9965.
People can also stop by the beach and sign out boats with a lifeguard. Lifejackets are provided and must be worn. You must be at least 18 with valid identification to rent boats.
