Senator Dan Stec (R.C-Queensbury) announced that several arts initiatives in the 45th Senate District are the recipients of state Small and Mid-sized Capital Improvement Grants for Arts and Culture.
In St. Lawrence County, the North Country Children’s Museum is slated to receive funding. The museum will receive $21,000 for structural support for second floor exhibits.
The aid, which amounts to $3,570,900 overall, is crucial in ensuring the North Country and Adirondacks can maintain and expand their vibrant arts programming and culture, according to a press release from Stec’s office.
“The Small and Mid-sized Capital Improvement Grants for Arts and Culture are a vital resource for local arts organizations. With this support our local theaters, museums and other spaces, programs and initiatives can make needed upgrades and continue to serve our communities and visitors for years to come,” said Stec.
