MASSENA - Nina J. McPherson, age 77, passed away after a brief stay at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital on Sunday, December 8, 2024. A graveside service for Nina will be held in Calvary Cemetery, in the spring at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena.
Nina was born on March 10, 1947, to Glenwood and Lila (Allen) Remington in Massena, NY. She attended Massena Schools, having worked around the area at numerous jobs, her last job was a laborer at the Michelex Corporation in Massena.
Nina married her husband Gary Lee Belile Sr. in Massena on September 11, 1965. He predeceased her on May 23, 1996. She was later remarried to James “Jim” McPherson Jr. October 16, 2011. Jim passed away on January 8, 2012.
She is survived by her children; Jerry Belile and companion Dawn Dibble of Ogdensburg; Terry of Deemer, PA; Larry Lee Dygert of Plattsburgh, NY along with numerous grandchildren. Nina is also survived by her siblings Jean and Bill St. Dennis of Montreal, Quebec, and Georgia Proper of Winthrop, NY, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Nina, was predeceased by her husband James “Jim” McPherson in May of 2012, her brothers’ Harvey, Glenwood, and Earl Remington along with a sister Shirley Murray, her first husband Gary Sr. in 1996, a daughter Candice Coombs and a son Gary Lee Belile Jr. in March of 2024.
