POTSDAM -- A website in support of the Potsdam man accused of killing a 12-year-old boy in 2011 is now up and running.
Truthfornickhillary.com includes links to news articles the creators believe show Oral “Nick” Hillary is not guilty of killing Garrett Phillips on Oct. 24, 2011.
Hillary was indicted earlier this year on second-degree murder charges.
The site also includes a biography of Hillary, a list of “questions for the public” and a tip submission form.
The site is run by the Long Island-based Goldman McCormick PR public relations and marketing firm.
The “About this Website” section on the Hillary site says:
“Truth for Nick Hillary is a growing group of individuals who, after learning about the circumstances surrounding the case against Nick Hillary, believe that Nick Hillary is innocent and is being framed for the murder of Garrett Phillips.
The public has not learned of a single piece of factual evidence against Nick Hillary. Contrarily, we have learned that the few pieces of “circumstantial evidence” that have been brought forward present very troubling inconsistencies and questions.
The citizens who maintain this website have no involvement in law enforcement or the justice system. The goal is to provide information for similarly concerned citizens to reach their own conclusions about this case.
We encourage the public to do their own research, consider all of the facts and ask their own questions without prejudice. It is our mission to collect the facts and distribute this information to the public in an effort to raise awareness and confront this ongoing injustice.”
