New tactics target Potsdam park goose problem

The village has erected a new goose deterring fence line along the Raquette River in Ives Park in Potsdam to prevent the geese from roaming and fertilizing the park. Last year, late in the season, two faux swans were installed just off shore to dissuade the fowl from coming up the bank and into the park where in recent years their droppings have been prolific.
