Mike had a strong connection to Aurora, Colorado, where he spent most of his years in the Air Force at Buckley AFB and retired in 2016. His career in the Air Force took him to many parts of the world. While he didn't speak much about his deployments, he often reminded his friends and family to thank those who served.
