MASSENA — A Massena man was charged with felony drug possession following a traffic stop Oct. 25, according to state police.
John W. Santarsiero, 50, was charged by Troop B- Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony, tampering with physical evidence, felony, and three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of controlled substance in non-original container, and various vehicle and traffic tickets.
The arrest stems from a traffic stop on Maple Street in Massena state troopers at around 12:30 a.m.
During the traffic stop, approximately seven grams of cocaine, a quantity of Xanax pills, a quantity of Lorazepam pills and a glass smoking device was seized, police said.
Santarsiero was arraigned in Massena court and released, officers said.
