OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg’s much-anticipated Riverfest is returning on May 31 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Green Belt, offering a day of live music, fun, and community spirit. After a successful event last year, organizer Chris Lalone is hoping for an even larger turnout this time around.
This year’s Riverfest promises something for everyone. Attendees can enjoy live performances from the Elderly Brothers, Sister Cinnamon, and FullBone. Along with the music, the event will feature a beer garden, street vendors, and a wide array of food options, ensuring that visitors can relax, eat, and shop while soaking in the atmosphere.
For families, there will be plenty of entertainment for the kids. The Adams Family Jumpers will provide fun inflatables, and the K-Stone Petting Zoo will offer a chance to interact with animals.
In addition to the entertainment at the Green Belt, a new partnership with the City Recreation Department will coincide the Riverfest with the Ogdensburg Open Cornhole Tournament at the Dobisky Center. The tournament, running from noon until completion, has a $40 entry fee per team, and proceeds from both events will benefit the Ogdensburg Seaway Festival Committee. Trophies will be awarded to the top two teams, and the names of the champions will be engraved and displayed at the Dobisky Center.
Those interested in becoming a vendor at Riverfest can contact Michelle Morrison at 315-528-0332 or email seawaycrafts@gmail.com.
Lalone shared that Riverfest not only provides affordable local entertainment but also helps raise funds for the Seaway Festival, Ogdensburg's largest annual event. With rising costs, the festival relies on community support to continue its tradition and ensure its future.
