CANTON -- The LifeNet of New York air medical crews, based in Watertown and Potsdam, have teamed up with the local chapter of the American Red Cross in New York to host a Battle of the Bases Blood Drive on Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 1-6 p.m. to address ongoing blood shortages and encourage community members to donate.
The drive will be held at the Best Western University Inn, 90 E Main St., Canton.
The Potsdam team is asking all who can donate to help them achieve bragging rights over the Watertown team.
People can schedule an appointment by using the American Red Cross Blood Donor app, visiting redcrossblood.org, or calling 1-800-REDCROSS.
