OGDENSBURG -- The family of Irwin William Shaver, III, 47, sadly shares news of his untimely passing on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025.
Irwin was born on December 31st,1977, to Irwin W. and Christine (Mashaw) Shaver Jr. in Ogdensburg, NY.
He spent the first 16 years of his life in the north country, where he was a student in the Ogdensburg City School District.
During his childhood, Irwin joyfully participated in many community activities, such as T-ball and summer recreation. He frequented the Boys and Girls Club, and in his teenage years, particularly enjoyed playing darts.
Irwin’s path to adulthood took him to Georgia, where he worked until that time that injury and illness forced him to stop.
He had a strong passion for golfing, fishing, and his love of the Georgia Bulldogs.
Although his death was ruled due to natural causes, there is nothing natural about this loss.
He will be dearly missed by his large extended family as well as those many friends who became like family over the years.
Irwin leaves behind a son he adored and loved more than anything, Aaron Shaver, as well as his ex-wife and best friend, Laura Shaver, with whom he lived.
As a much beloved member of two very large, extended families, not given to use terms like “step” or “half”, he is also survived by his mother, Christine (Robert) Love and his father, Irwin (Jennifer) Shaver Jr, along with several sisters and brothers, nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles, great aunts and uncles, as well as two grandmothers.
“Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever.”
A private memorial service will be held at a later date, and the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home & Crematory in Hinesville, GA, has been entrusted with arrangements.
