EF High School Exchange Year (EFHSEY) is searching for host families and International Exchange Coordinators, IEC’s, in St.Lawrence County for the 2025-26 school year.
Since 1979 EFHSEY has connected more than 100,000 international students with caring host families across America.
Todd and Patti Race have been hosting exchange students for seven years and became IEC’s in 2021.
They have hosted ten students from eight different countries so far.
Covering that territory are 15 IEC’s and the organization is searching for more, especially in St. Lawrence County, a press release from EF High School Exchange Year said.
The role of an IEC is part-time, flexible, and volunteer spirited. You decide your level of involvement based on the number of students you choose to find families for and support.
As an IEC you will recruit caring host families who can host international students for an academic year.
IEC’s match host families with exchange students based on their personalities, hobbies, and lifestyles.
IEC’s earn monetary rewards along with travel incentives to national and international destinations.
Regional and national professional development opportunities are offered annually.
“If you are interested in learning more about becoming a coordinator or becoming a host family we would love to hear from you,“ said Todd Race.
Call Todd at 315-408-9082 or Bonnie at 315-402-8963.
