GOUVERNEUR — A Gouverneur man was jailed after allegedly violating an order of protection and exposing his buttocks to people while outside the residence on Dec. 19, according to village police.
Billy J. Miller, 47, was arrested at 6:36 p.m. for first-offense criminal contempt, felony, exposure of a person, and third-degree menacing, police said.
Miller allegedly went to 11 Johnstown Street when there was an active no contact order of protection in place, protecting a party that lives at that residence.
He was also pulling his pants down showing people his buttocks while outside the residence. Miller allegedly caused a victim at the residence to fear for her safety after acting in an aggressive manner.
He also was previously convicted of criminal contempt (violating an order of protection) in the last five years which caused this violation to be criminal contempt.
Miller was arraigned at the Gouverneur Town Court and held without bail. The defendant was transported to the St. Lawrence County jail, officers said.
