GOUVERNEUR — A Gouverneur man was charged with driving while intoxicated stemming from a motor vehicle accident Dec. 13 on Grove Street, according to village police.
Kristopher R. Lancto, 47, was charged at 1:24 p.m. for first-offense DWI, failure to use a designated lane, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Lamcto was involved in a property-damage accident located on Grove Street, police said. He was reportedly found to be impaired while driving.
Lancet was also found in possession of a white substance that field tested positive for fentanyl, police said.
He was arraigned in Gouverneur Town Court and release on own recognizance with a return court date, officers said.
