Freda B. Billings, 91, Lisbon

LISBON - Funeral services for Freda B. Billings, age 91 of Lisbon will be held on Monday (February 10, 2025) at 3:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Schirmer officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Martin Cemetery in Lisbon.

Calling hours will be held also on Monday from 12:00 to 3:00pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Billings passed away on February 6, 2025 at the Canton Potsdam Hospital with her sons by her side.

Surviving are four sons Terry Billings of Canton, Lynn (Debbie) Billings of Waddington, Randy (Joan) Billings of Madrid and Timothy (Darlene) Billings of Heuvelton; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Floyd; a sister Audrey LeBarge, a daughter-in-law Martha Billings and a grandson Scott Billings.

Freda was born on June 4, 1933 in Ogdensburg, a daughter of George & Phyllis (Hough) Dunbar. She graduated from Lisbon Central School and was later married to Floyd C. Billings on August 3, 1950 at the First Methodist Church in Potsdam. She worked in the Lisbon Cafeteria and provided childcare for area families for many years.

Freda enjoyed golfing, reading western and mystery books and spending time with her family.
