GOUVERNEUR -- Two Gouverneur residents were charged following a traffic stop Thursday evening on U.S. Highway 11, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies.
Deputies said they stopped a vehicle shortly before 7 p.m. that was being driven by 34-year old Chauncey Pray. He allegedly failed to keep right.
During their investigation officers reportedly discovered Pray did not have a license and was also wanted by Ogdensburg police on a warrant related to a burglary.
A passenger in the vehicle, Liana Mueilleur, 38, was found to be in possession of a switchblade knife, about 300 packets of fentanyl, about 1 gram of methamphetamine, and 26 assorted pills that she did not have a prescription for, police said.
She was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, deputies said.
She was reportedly arraigned in Gouverneur court by Judge Young and released.
Pray was cited and turned over to Ogdensburg police on the warrant, deputies said.
State police, U.S. Border Patrol and the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force assisted on scene.
