Doreen M. Mitchell, 66, Heuvelton

HEUVELTON - Doreen M. Mitchell, age 66, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother of Heuvelton, New York, passed away on January 9, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 7, 1958, in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of Angelo and Elma (Wilson) Baldino. Doreen attended Heuvelton Central School and later married Wallace "Wally" Mitchell on October 3, 1981.

Throughout her life, Doreen was known for her thoughtful nature and dedication to her work and family. She worked at McAdam Cheese from 1981 to 2003 and at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center from 2010 to 2020. Additionally, she pursued her passion for catering with Parker Piercy, which she loved to do.

Doreen enjoyed baking, catering, exploring garage sales, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Her family and friends will remember her for these cherished activities and the joy she brought into their lives.

She is survived by her husband, Wally; a daughter, Danielle Mitchell, and her companion Ron Durham of Heuvelton; a sister, Debbie Baldino of Gouverneur; grandchildren Derek (Jordan) Fenton of Heuvelton and Lanie Durham of Heuvelton; and great-grandson Matrix Fenton.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A celebration of her life will follow at the Heuvelton Fire Hall.
